OVERVIEW

Kalikugan cave Punta Bunga Beach is located behind the cape with Kalikugan cave, close to Balanghai Beach with  rocky cliffs and huge stones of volcanic origin. And there, we will see a very interesting shallow Kalikugan cave..If one really wants to see the cave bats, they tend to fly around en mass outside at dusk looking for insects. Such bats use echolocation to find their way and avoid strong sunlight.The fruit bats can see quite well and do not inhabit caves. Much of the information one tends to hear about the bats is not deliberately misleading but rather a jumble of confusion as they are 2 very distinct types of bats.There are poisonous sea snakes in the cave as well that one should avoid; although they are not aggressive, their venom is deadly - so don’t step on one. There are stalactites on the cave roof but nothing really amazing. There is a pool of water at the bottom of the cave which connects outside to the ocean
